The World Maritime Week Exhibition was held from March 21-23, an event that brought together the entire maritime sector at the Bilbao Exhibition Center. It is a meeting that hosts four international congresses in parallel: naval (Sinaval), fishing (Eurofishing), port (Futureport) and offshore renewable energy. The event had an extensive conference programme, a large section dedicated to networking and an exhibition area in which the Basque Maritime Forum has had its own stand where it has disseminated the different projects in which it participates. The HYSHORE project has been present at this exhibition, since the FMV stand has acted as an information point for the project, making known the objectives and achievements reached to date to the companies visiting the fair that have shown interest in it.
During the week of September 6 to 9, the Basque Maritime Forum has participated in the SMM Expo in Hamburg together with 29 associated companies, 12 of them as exhibitors.
SMM is the undisputed leading naval fair worldwide and is attended by the main players in the sector: shipowners, shipyards, auxiliary industry and services. In this edition it has had more than 2,000 exhibitors from 67 countries, in an exhibition area of 85,000 square meters, and with initial estimates of more than 40,000 professional visitors. All of this makes it a great tool for disseminating the projects that companies in the sector are working on. The HYSHORE project has been present at this Expo, since the FMV stand has acted as an information point for the project, making known the objectives and achievements reached to date to the companies visiting the fair that have shown interest in it.
On Thursday, September 22 at 10:00 a.m. at the Tecnalia facilities, HYSHORE project’s follow-up meeting took place, in which the consortium of companies and RVCTI agents reviewed the progress made in the project, and the work plan for the next months.
Once the meeting was over, the consortium paid a visit to the NORTEGAS LOOP.
The HYSHORE project is part of the global strategy of decarbonisation of the economy and the search for new alternative energy vectors to fossil fuels. HYSHORE focuses on the field of hydrogen and its green generation through offshore wind renewable energy, addressing different technological challenges that the industry faces related to the transport and logistics of this hydrogen generated in wind farms.
